Threshold heart rate was 105 — 155 after 2 months

The young distance runner trained “by feel.” EnergoCard showed low aerobic power with high efficiency. We rebuilt the base and added work in zones V4–V6 — after 2 months the threshold rose to 155 bpm, total capacity +41%, aerobic power +116%.

High efficiency, “explosive” power at a minimum

The athlete complained that there was “no explosiveness.” The test showed high efficiency and minimal alactic power — meaning the work needed is not on volume but on short maximal accelerations.

Brought the athlete back in 10 days

After overload at a training camp — a drop in performance and resting heart rate of 72. Based on the energy profile dynamics, the load was adjusted: after 10 days resting heart rate was 45.5, and results returned to best levels.

Recovery instead of overload

An adult amateur swimmer trained according to an “Olympic” plan. Diagnostics showed signs of under-recovery. Volume was reduced and work in V2–V3 was added — well-being and results improved without increasing the load.

Start with diagnostics: 15 minutes of ECG will show where the strong and limiting links of energy supply are.
